Combating Hunger...

I've been hungry.  I want to find GOOD snacks to keep in my car, those that don't need refregeration (obviously) and those w/out a ton of fat or sugar.  The 'bars' are great but are loaded with lots of ingredients I can't pronounce.  hmmmm the quest is on.  During the day when I'm hungry, sugar snap peas, carrotts and apples don't sound that great.  What do you eat when you want a healthy snack, a grab and go kind of snack???

Day 1, First Post.... ever.

Ok wow.  This feels a little more daunting, more like stage fright than I ever expected.  When I thought about creating a simple blog so that all my friends near, far and wide could vent, I didn't expect it feel so....big.  Anyway ok.  On with it I guess.  :)  

I'm doing great.  Oh sure, I've snuck a few handfuls of sugary cereal here and there, a soy latte once in a while... but really, I'm doing great.  I've taken a few Zumba classes, I've got a schedule mapped out of what I want to be doing at the gym (Zumba, Lift, Yoga) and it's going to work.... in my head it's great.... i don't start till Tuesday.  I can do it.  :)

Eating.... hmmmm.   I need to focus on not getting bored.  Sure, the carrot sticks were great there for the 1st week but today, 7 days in, I was actually bored with them and felt like I needed something yummy like a Burgerville cheeseburger.... mmmm.  Still at 11 at night that sounds just fantastic. 

I'm the queen of falling off, jumping off rather, the wagon.  I've got incredible will power for a few weeks but after that.... nadda.  This time, no (right?).  I'm doing this.....  I   Am  Doing This....

What's my goal??  Lose some weight for sure but mainly it's getting in shape, toning, heart healthy to live longer.  You?
